I’m in Transition year this year and we (me and a group of 4 classmates) have to set up a mini business selling a product or service. the aims are to try make profits!

i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what i could set up or if you’ve donr this before what did you do!

some examples are hoodies, keyrings, pens etc

i know a company that became very successful and all they did was paint the head of bolts and screws to match the color of signs and stuff so the sign would look good. try that.

business name ideas ltd?

selling electrical producs, example laser pens led torches etc etc.
the business is joint run and is slowly taking place i am awaiting registering a company name with company house to make it a ltd company in the uk but my mind is dead for names, any ideas will be welcome , best one will get best answer, thanks

Names come from the owner, the location or the product/mission of the business. Check your competition, which name types are most popular. When the phone book ruled advertising you started to see businesses named AAAAPlumbing, just so they could be first, but in today’s search engine market, names can be whatever you want them to be. So decide on something you like, that tells folks what you are doing, and that someone else has not already taken. You will be living with the name for a long time if your company is successful.

Branding is a separate yet joined discussion with name of a business. You might want to talk with your partner and a marketing expert to find out what kind of names you can develop a good marketing/branding campaign around. Good luck with it, a new business is an exhilarating adventure!
